A house is a group of people who look out for one another, like a family.
I look at everyone as my children.
I make sure they’re all taken care of, just like any other mother would.
At House of History, we’re all coming together for the greater good of getting the stories of Black LGBTQ people out and keeping their legacies alive.
These stories, they give people hope. Hearing and seeing someone like you. How they got through it.
Knowing your story doesn’t have to die with you.
We’re loving people, we’re caring people, just like you. We want the same things you want.
We’re not asking you to treat us differently or treat us special. Just treat us as you would your brother or your sister.
Because that’s what we are.
